- How did America's economy, industries, and populations grow after the Civil War?
- Who came to the United States at end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century? Why did they come? What was their experience when they arrived?

Discussion 15 minutes:
- What are some push/pull factors
- Pro and Cons of Immigration
- What is the perception of immigration in America?
Lecture 20 minutes: Immigration and Urbanization
Session 2
Mapping/Poem 30 minutes: Map out where immigrants came from during this period or write a poem related to Emma Lazarus's The New Colossus.
Writing 45 minutes:
